Damascus Time (Be Vaghte Sham)

The city of Palmyra in eastern Syria has fallen to ISIS and they have surrounded the airport in a nearby city where many of wounded people and also the last defenders of the airport await their emergency evacuation. A young pilot has to risk his life and reach the airport in order to help evacuate these people while they are under direct ISIS fire. A close confrontation with ISIS fighters determines their fate in a dramatic turn of events.

Ebrahim Hatamikia

Ebrahim Hatamikia is internationally renowned for his role in the Iranian cinema in the 1990s. He was born in 1961 in Tehran to a Persian father and an Azeri mother. He gave up the Art University where he studied script writing and began his directing career with the film The Identity in 1986 as well as short films and documentaries about the Iran–Iraq War. His movies are considered the best regarding war and the issues surrounding it. His works have often received admiration in national film festivals. The Glass Agency and In the Name of the Father honored him with the best screenplay and directing awards both in the sixteenth and twenty-fourth Fajr International Film Festival respectively.
